OUR STORY The property was designed by the renowned architect Pedro Rodriguez Flores for a prestigious and influential Puerto Rican family. The estate's main bungalow and the four adjacent casitas served as the family's vacation home, a retreat to which they could escape the hustle and bustle of life. Now it can be your retreat. In Spanish \"Una Quinta\" means an estate. Since it is our heartfelt desire to preserve the history and origins of this exquisite property, we started with our name, Las Quintas Reserve. ACCOMMODATIONS The estate consists of five independent villas and a main bungalow where reception and the restaurant are located. Three villas have a private balcony overlooking picturesque views of stunning seascape areas, showcasing panoramic views of Cayo Luis Peña Reserve, dotted with neighboring keys. The \"Pool Villa\" is located steps away from the pool and the \"Garden Villa\" overlooking the tropical garden with mango trees and other exotic fruits. All are well appointed with the finest amenities and offer visitors their own private getaway. Each villa sleeps two, The Estate Villa sleeps 4, joining two adjacent rooms (The Sunset View Villa + The Pool Villa) and the entire property accommodates groups of ten. GETTING AROUND The property is located within walking distance of Melones Beach, recognized for the best snorkeling on the Island and minutes away by car from the most recognized beach in Puerto Rico and top 10 in the world, \"Playa Flamenco\". Another valuable benefit is that the property is near the town center of Culebra, where tourists will find restaurants, bars, supermarkets and gas stations, yet distanced enough to enjoy privacy and tranquility. This unique tropical estate surrounded by lush vegetation, sits in a 7,948 square meter double lot, providing privacy and tranquility, yet one of its finest features is its proximity to various pristine beaches where you can enjoy a wide range of aquatic sports and recreational activities, and the convenience of a 5-minutes' drive to town and the ferry dock, making it the perfect choice in Culebra. Here are several ways to get to Culebra Island. You can fly in from either Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, Isla Grande airport or the Ceiba airport. Most come by ferry that departs from the town of Ceiba just a 40 minute drive from San Juan. Once here, Las Quintas Reserve's location is unique in that it is convenient to many of the island's charms without sacrificing its privacy and seclusion. A 10 minute drive can take you to the airport or to the world renown Flamenco Beach. EXPERIENCES Whether you are in search of a quiet retreat from the noise of life or the adventure that comes experiencing nature in its purest form, or perhaps a little of both, the Island of Culebra delivers. Its varied geography offers everything from beach hopping, and tropical trekking to snorkeling and exploring nearby islets. If you are interested in chartering a private boat, we can help arrange it but bookings must be made at least two weeks in advance. DINING COMING SOON, seasonally, Las Quintas Reserve will offer our guests the services of a private in-house chef creating the most delightful gastronomic experiences. We will be letting our guests know prior through our Web Page and Social Media platforms so they can book the experience in advance. The restaurant offers a continental breakfast (included) every morning and a tapas menu from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, but given our remoteness, menus for the tapas must be selected a day prior. Our property faces west, which means it offers the most spectacular sunsets, draping a golden hue over the view of the Luis Peña Nature Reserve. Naturally, sunsets are accompanied every day by the aptly named Sunset Happy Hour from 5:00pm to 7:00pm were you can order drinks with tapas.
